About Me

Iwa Brown
Brisbane, Qld, Australia
My additive free journey began in 2010 when it became apparent that my kids were reacting to certain food additives. I learned about nasties found in everyday foods that line our supermarket shelves. Following the implementation of this diet, I very quickly began to see improvements in not only my kids' behaviour and development, but also my own overall health! I also bought myself a Thermomix, a nifty little kitchen appliance that made additive free cooking much easier. Though most of the recipes on this blog can also be made without a Thermomix, and as such the recipe methods contain steps for both. My interest in nutrition eventually prompted me to enrol in a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) through the Endeavour College of Natural Health in early 2011. I have been chipping away at the degree part time since then. I believe in cooking with wholesome, fresh, preferably local and organic ingredients. I hope you enjoy the recipes on my blog!
